The PURPOSE of this is to educate others about different SAEs. Members of the FFA Chapter will sign up to present their SAE. Other members will travel with their families to the host farms to tour the site and gain an understanding of the students' SAE, what goes into it. Our WHY is to encourage and promote SAEs. within the chapter.

The PURPOSE of Paws-itively Loved is to encourage a positive environment for students' mental health by hosting therapy dogs at GHS.The Geneseo FFA Chapter will partner with therapy dog owners during FFA Week to have for the student body.This activity will reduce anxiety and stress while raising spirits of students and staff.

The PURPOSE of this activity is to educate Geneseo FFA Chapter members in the process of facilitating an Ag in the Classroom lessons. The Geneseo FFA will partner with the Henry County AITC Coordinator for this activity. Members will be professionally trained to effectively facilitate Ag in the Classroom lessons for 5th graders in Geneseo.

The PURPOSE of this activity is to present members with a variety of accounting skills to educate and prepare them for managing finances. Many young adults enroll in an economics class only to receive the credits; however, this event concentrates on the individual success and comprehension of lifelong skills for each motivated member (WHY).

The PURPOSE of this activity is to encourage academic success among FFA members. The Geneseo FFA Chapter will recognize the FFA member with the highest GPA from each grade level at the FFA Banquet. This recognizes the individuals who have a well- established academic record in order to promote continued learning (WHY).

Building Communities - Citizenship

The PURPOSE of this activity is for members to give back to the community by sending groups to and volunteer quarterly. The Vice President of Building Communities will choose four different facilities to contact and volunteer alongside. The goal is to for members to be involved and give back to our community and make new connections (WHY).

Building Communities - Economic Development

The PURPOSE of this activity is to spotlight local businesses within the community. Two Geneseo FFA chapter officers will host a podcast interviewing business owners and entrepreneurs to build connections between the FFA and the community. Through these podcasts, the chapter will support investments in the community (WHY).

Building Communities - Environmental

The PURPOSE of this activity is to encourage members to contribute to the betterment of our community. Each year, members walk along the ditchways to collect any litter they encounter. This effort helps prevent trash from accumulating in the fields around our town, ensuring that our community remains clean and well-maintained (WHY).

Building Communities - Human Resources

The PURPOSE of this activity is to give back to the farmers that give so much to us. These local farmers often go unrecognized for their hard work. We partner with Hanford Insurance Agency along side with STI to create the Fuel Packs. Hanford donates all the food items we use creating the bags, that give back. STI gives little stress tractors.

The PURPOSE of this activity is for the members of the plot committee to develop an annual report on the plot and present it to stakeholders. The goal is to show our stakeholders what the committee has learned during the previous growing season and to secure the least for the next year (WHY).

Strengthening Agriculture - Agricultural Advocacy

The PURPOSE of this activity is for FFA members to assemble boxes containing agricultural product to deliver to GHS teachers. Each item will include a slip of paper explaining its origin and production process. This initiative will promote agricultural programs and products to educators during Teacher Appreciation Week (WHY).

Strengthening Agriculture - Agricultural Literacy

This program will involve FFA members visiting the 5th grade classes once every quarter and teaching the kids lessons. These lessons can vary from production to distribution and from animals to humans. This program aims to get kids interested and inform them about the agriculture.

Incoming Greenhands will be welcomed to join their fellow FFA members at a fun Sunday brunch. The PURPOSE of this activity is for Greenhands to make connections with their fellow members by playing games and asking questions. The WHY of this activity is to ensure Greenhands have the tools for a successful first year in our FFA chapter.

Strengthening Agriculture - Safety

The PURPOSE of this activity is to educate the community about safety within the agricultural industry. The Geneseo FFA will compete in the Illinois Farm Bureau Agriculture safety display contest. Members will design and create a display relating to farm safety. This is to inform the public about the risks and how they can be avoided (WHY).

The PURPOSE of this activity is for FFA members to work along side the alumni chapter
to plan an agriculture-related trivia night to raise funds to support the program's activities and scholarships.
Additionally, the event showcases the chapter members and their successes while engaging with members.
